He came to volunteer at co-op only few weeks ago and he has quickly become one of our favourite people here.
At just 20 years of age, he impressed us with great maturity and willingness to go the extra mile.
Manaaki started volunteering for a job experience and has been very happy to contribute to his family with a great discount on food which he receives for volunteering.
Manaaki is looking for a job at the moment as his aim is to make himself independent. His perfect lifestyle would be to travel extensively and experience as much of the world as possible. He is a very curious being and thinks deeply about everything. Talking to Manaaki is like speaking with Yoda as he has such depth of perception about so many things.
He loves co-op for being so community minded and he loves to meet so many different people.
He enjoys learning how different systems work and how he can adapt to them. He also takes a lot of initiative and for some of us at the co-op he has been a lifesaver at taking upon himself to sort out our storage spaces as sometimes they get out of control ...
At the moment Manaaki is just "going with a flow and taking every opportunity" that comes his way.
When asked to describe Manaaki in one sentence, one member responded "super cool" and that is a true description.
